April Kasper, Lead Instructor/Program Director

April Kasper, Instructor/Program Director of KidScape Productions

Hello! My name is April and I was born and raised in Southern California. I achieved a Bachelors degree in Art Studio, split emphasis Painting & Ceramics in 2006 from California State University Chico. I moved to Reno after graduation and enjoy the many different opportunities and entertainment this community provides. I have been lucky enough to be involved with dance and theatre performance since the age of 5. My first theatre role was Charlotte in Charlotte's Web when a children's theatre program came to my school in 6th grade. I became a part of the KidScape Productions Team in Summer 2010 and am so thankful for the opportunity to enrich lives through this program. Every child can benefit from this experience by at the very least building self esteem, learning to communicate clearly in front of an audience, and flexing their imaginations, all while having a blast doing it! I have seen first hand the benefits that the program has to offer and it touches my heart everytime I see a student gain new skills.

Britton Griffith, Lead Instructor/Program Director

Britton Griffith, Lead Instructor of KidScape Productions

Hi there! My name is Britton Griffith. I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. After attending the University of Nevada Reno and then off to Law School, I was on the search for a career that would utilize my creative, enthusiastic and energetic personality. Finding a position that has such a positive influence and impact on children was a dream! Learning to speak, interact and communicate through such a powerful art form as acting is a terrific path for people of any age to follow.

I look forward to exploring and creating great experiences in Kidscape; a program that spreads confidence and joy to those who participate!

Meghan Gaunt, Instructor

Meghan Gaunt, Instructor of KidScape Productions

Hello! I'm Meghan Gaunt, I am a freshman at UNR and I take comfort knowing that performing will always be a huge part of my life. In college I plan on studying acting and other aspects of performance like singing and dancing, and can't wait to learn all I can! I've performed since I was a kid, and participated in all the plays and musicals at Reno High School, and loved every single minute of it. Theater has given me more than I could ever imagine, and I hope to be able to bestow to the students with KidScape the same self discovery, community, and most importantly, joy that I have gained. I love working with kids and am so excited to have the opportunity to get to know and teach students that share the same passion as me!

Thieren Burgener, Instructor

Thieren Burgener, Instructor of KidScape Productions

Growing up has been challenging for me I was shy and had low confidence. But when I started acting and improv I have come out of that shell. This is my last year in high school and I plan on going to college at UNR. I'm ready to take on anything and I can't wait to start teaching. As a new instructor I'll be helping you and learning alongside you. This year will be the best year ever, so let's go have some fun and be a real bunch of characters.

Erica Bowlin, Instructor

Erica Bowlin, Instructor of KidScape Productions

Hi! I have been a part of KidScape Productions since 2008, I started when I was in 6th grade. I was never a people person; You know always shy, hiding behind my parents when we would meet new people. Ever since I joined KidScape Productions I have become much more social and I have no problems in new situations. I can speak clearly during a presentations and I can take the lead in awkward, silent situations and start a conversation comfortably. I am so happy that I joined KidScape because I have always loved preforming and acting and KidScape gives me more opportunities to express myself. kSp has made me very confident in myself; I feel as if I can go anywhere and be anything.

Olivia Uhart, Instructor

Olivia Uhart, Instructor of KidScape Productions

Hi, my name is Olivia! I just graduated from the University of San Diego this past May and recently came to live in Northern Nevada. I studied psychology and am planning on going back to school to continue, especially concentrating on psychology in sports and with children. I did many plays when I was younger and definitely think that drama can influence a kid's well-being! I love being active and spending time outside, especially with friends and family! Because of my experience acting and working with children, I would love to work with a program as wonderful as KidScape Productions!

Bryce Sanders, Instructor

Byrce Sanders, Instructor of KidScape Productions

Hello, my name is Bryce Sanders; I have been a part of KidScape for little over a year. KidScape has taught me so much about improv, and how to apply those skills to real life. How to hold myself in a business or presentation scenario, to speak clearly with diction, and how to get rid of nerves before speaking in front of large crowds. I am really looking forward to teaching these skills to others; so that they may know how to handle these types of situations, or to just come out of their shy shells. KidScape productions have been a very positive impact in my life, and I know it will be in others as well.

Katherine Bending, Instructor

Katherine Bending, Instructor of KidScape Productions

My name is Katherine Bending and I have been with KidScape as a student for more than a year and an assistant instructor since March 2008. I love to perform and with KidScape I get amazing opportunities to do just that. Through helping at camps and classes with KidScape, I have gained more experience and improved my acting skills. I have gained self-confidence, leadership skills and better learned how to present myself in front of an audience. This has helped me with my presentation skills at school, in an interview, and around my peers. My goal as a KidScape Instructor is to pass on leadership skills, self-confidence, presentation skills, and the fun experience of acting to the students.

Kieran Clark, Instructor

Kieran Clark, Instructor of KidScape Productions

Hello! My name is Kieran Clark. I currently attend TMCC as a freshman, studying a major in Psychology while fitting in theater classes as well. I got my start in theater at Reno High and got hooked immediately. I have come to love being on stage, whether it's as a character or playing in my band. Only one thing has rivaled being on stage as a love of mine, and that's working with kids. I have a 6 year old little brother and watching him grow up and learn from me has been a rich and rewarding experience. Theater has been very influential on my life these past few years. From learning discipline to patience and even self-control. I hope to never quit drama, even if I have to push it aside as a hobby.

I have always loved acting since I was young and I love how many other kids are interested in acting as well. I have been in KSP for about 6 years, I would probably be nowhere near how confident I am today if I didn't take it. So come jump on in and play with us.

Holly Lorge, Instructor

Holly Lorge, Instructor of KidScape Productions

Hi there! I was raised in Carson City, NV and moved to Hollywood right after high school in the 1980s to pursue an acting career. Performing and entertaining is in my DNA since most of my family has been in front of or behind the camera for decades! I trained three years at the Groundlings Theatre in West Hollywood, also did improv/sketch comedy with a "way ahead of their times" three-woman show called "The Jersey Girls", had much success with commercials, episodic television, voice-overs, live theatre and independent films. I even met my husband during one of my shows, he just happened to be in the audience! After leaving Hollywood in 2007 to come back home to Northern Nevada to raise a family, I quickly got busy with my other passion: cooking! So, if you're looking for me, check the stage or check the kitchen! I've been married for 15 years to Dan, a fellow performer, and together we are happily raising our two energetic and lively children, Emily and Jake.

Jocelyn Montesdeoca, Instructor

Jocelyn Montesdeoca, Instructor of KidScape Productions

Hi everyone, my name is Jocelyn. I have been around KidScape Productions for two years. I am so glad and thankful to have been given the opportunity to learn and achieve things I never thought I would. I have always been a shy girl, and now I can start a conversation with nearly anyone without hesitation, I truly believe KidScape has helped me step of my shell. KidScape will help you in many different aspects in life no matter what you want to be. It has been a fun and enjoyable learning experience. And I feel very lucky to be a part of it!

Tony Walker, Instructor

Tony Walker, Instructor of KidScape Productions

My name is Tony Walker and I'm an artist, performance poet, singer, songwriter, emcee, master of improv (music/poetry), promoter and father; originally from a small town in Oklahoma, now living in Reno for the past 7+ years. As a child I was big into breakdancin' and science; exploring the unknown. I guess you could call me a Nerdy-Urban-Hipster. I was very active in sports growing up playing basketball, football, soccer, baseball, track-n-field, cross country, volleyball and even bowling! Writing, however, has been my greatest comfort in life. Anytime I needed to express anything, writing it down was always the first notion. Locally, I help organize art shows, fundraisers, music events and am involved with several different ongoing non-profit programs to include: Holland Project, The Underbelly and Spoken Views. I speak with high school and university level students annually and travel out of town some weekends here and there to speak to people in other cities and states and learn from them as well. I love kids and how they inspire us. As we teach kids they help us rediscover the simple, pure joys in life and I appreciate that every day from my own son. It's a pleasure to have the opportunity to be a part of such a big group of creative kids and teachers. Be peace.

Mike Jacobus, Instructor

Mike Jacobus, Instructor of KidScape Productions

It all started in a high school chorus class. That lead to helping build sets for school plays, singing with local troubadour group, improv acting, and stage managing which led to a Technical Theatre college scholarship. Michael has been on stage, back stage and teaching theatre arts for the past 25 years. He has designed sets for ACT and LampLighters in San Francisco, directed and managed for Summer Rep in Santa Rosa, taught StageCraft for UNR, and has designed, directed, taught and/or performed with the NV Opera, Claypipers, Reno Little Theatre, TOCATTA and TheatreWorks of Nevada.

Jessica Jimenez, Instructor

Jessica Jimenez, Instructor of KidScape Productions

My name is Jessica. Though I am fairly new to KidScape the more I learn about it, the more amazed I am at the idea that it is based around. I love working with kids and have been doing so for the past couple years. My favorite things to do are spending time with my family and friends, eating, playing and watching sports, and singing. I am currently a freshman at the University of Nevada Reno and my major is Criminal Justice. I love trying new things and overcoming new challenges. I can't wait to work with bright new people in this exciting program!

Roman Barry, Assistant Instructor

Roman Barry, Student/Assistant Instructor of KidScape Productions

Hello, my name is Roman Barry and I have been with KidScape since I was 13. I was first interested in acting when I was ten. I stopped for a few years, then went to my first acting class with KidScape and rememebered how much I loved to be on stage. It is easier to go to KidScape because it is affordable, fun, and you learn a lot. Being ten I didn't feel like learning, I wish I went to Kidscape when I was younger because I would have learned as much as I know now, then. Now, however with all the skills I obtained from KidScape, I can speak in front of big audiences and give presentations in class. I am glad to assitant intstruct their classes because I look at the students learning major life skills.

Tala Munsterman, Assistant Instructor

Tala Munsterman, Instructor of KidScape Productions

Salutations! My name is Tala Munsterman; I have lived in Reno for 11 years now and know this place like the back of my hand. I have been with KidScape Productions for two years now and have thoroughly enjoyed every second of it! Theatre and the performing arts are my life's passions and I am completely thrilled to start teaching them to other people. KidScape has taught me many lessons such as slowing down and articulating when I speak and also to just go with the "flow". I cannot wait to meet new people and share with them my passion for the theatre. Hope to see you soon!!

Bree Morley, Assistant Instructor

Bree Morley, Instructor of KidScape Productions

Bree Morley was born and (somewhat) raised in Reno, NV, and has been with Kidscape Productions since she was twelve. She is currently going to Reno High School and learned more than she could ever hope for in her time at KSP. Skipping right past the self loathing angst phase of being a teenager, she instead rocketed her self confidence and esteem with the program, preparing herself for social and professional situations as an adult. It thoroughly shocked her parents when she stood up on stage for the first time and spoke loudly with diction (and this was when she had braces). She likes children, especially roasted. She also cracks terrible and awkward jokes often, if you couldn't already tell. Her greatest accomplishment was beating a game of solitaire for the first time at fourteen. She hopes you enjoy what KSP and their actors have to show for you.
